Location: Northwest Cheyenne County, Kansas

For a map and guide of the Arikaree Breaks go to Arikaree Breaks Driving Tour. The Breaks are north to northwest of St. Francis, primarily east of highway 27. They are an unusual and unexpected formation of badlands and nearly verticle erosion for Kansas, and one of its great, mostly unknown, treasures. It is sometimes referred to as the "Mini-Grand Canyon of the Midwest." You will likely see little traffic in the area, but will find a multitude of photographic opportunities.

Be respectful of private property, as all of the Breaks are privately owned.
