Windmills are a standard symbol of Kansas. They can be found throughout the state. The one above was taken near sunset in Doniphan County with a Nikon N60 and Nikkor 75-240mm zoom lens. The one below right was taken in the Cimarron National Grasslands of southwestern Kansas.

An abandoned home in Logan County on US Highway 83. Taken early in the day with a Konica T3 and Hexanon 57mm f/1.2 lens. I used a polarizing filter and took the shot at f/4 for 1/125 second.

Windmill in Cimarron National Grasslands, Morton County. Nikon FE2 and 50mm f/1.4 lens, 125th second at f/16. Film was Konica VX 100.
