Nikon F65/N65 |
In 2001 the F65/N65 replace the F60/N60. The N65 is a USA designation while it's known as the F65 elsewhere in the world. primary advances over the N60 include five autofocus sensors instead of one, depth of field preview, exposure bracketing, multiple exposure capability and optional remote control.
While far from being a professional camera (although not as far as you might think), the N65 is adequate for the casual and semi-serious user. If one is a little more serious, the next step up is the N80 and is well worth the additional cost. As of this writing, January 2002, the N65 can be bought for under $300.
The N65 weighs in at 13.9 ounces. It has a six-segment matrix and centerweighted metering system, exposure compensation and three shot autobracketing. It has Program, Aperture, Shutter and Manual focus modes. There are also diopter adjustments on the viewfinder. Flash sync speed is only 1/90th second and the N65 cannot meter with manual lenses. However, it's a lot of camera for the price.
