Accessories

Some of the other accessories once or still available for the F5 are as follow:

Photo Secretary/PC-Link: The Nikon Photo Manager is designed exclusively for the F5. Photo Manager AC-IWE links the camera and your Windows 95-based personal computer and AC-1ME for Macintosh (System 7.1), with the Personal Computer Connecting Cord MC-33 (for Windows 95)/MC-34 (for Macintosh). This allows you to set various F5 operations from your personal computer. You can also download shooting data stored on the F5, thus allowing you to manipulate it on your personal computer.

AH4: One of the lesser known but highly practical accessory that Nikon has designed for photographer is the AH-4 Hand Strap. It secures the camera comfortably in hand for a firm grip without hand fatigue. It is particularly useful when using longer and/or larger Nikkor zoom and telephoto lenses.

CF53A: F5 Ever ready case. Use with zoom 28-70 AF. Front part only.

CF53H: F5 Ever ready case. Rear part only.

CF54: F5's Ever ready case. Use with zoom 35-135 AF.

CF54A: F5 Ever ready case. Use with zoom 70-210 AF. Front part only.

MC-20: Remote Cord with Timer. Enables remote firing of a camera and setting of long time exposure of up to 9 hrs. 59 min. 59 sec. Length: 80cm, five-figure, seven-segment display; may be illuminated, Plug and socket: 10 pole, Power source: one 3V lithium battery (CR2032).

MC-21: Cord 10 Pin Extension Cable Used with MC 20 or MC-30.

MC-30: Remote Cord for F5. Enables remote firing of camera with trigger-lock function.

ML-3: The Wireless Modulite Remote Control ML-3 Set: Consists of ML-3 Remote Control Receiver (XA 10254) & ML-3 Remote Control Transmitter (FXA 10253). The ML-3 is for cameras with 10-pins remote terminal The ML-3 offers remote control for two separate channels via an infrared LED beam, enabling automatic camera operation from a distance of up to about 8m. Auto triggering, delayed shutter release 3 sec., single and continuous shooting switchable from the remote position.
